The floodwaters tore through the neighborhood, turning streets into a violent river. In the churning current, a little boy clung desperately to a tree, his terrified cries swallowed by the roaring storm.Just as his strength failed, the heavy clouds parted. A brilliant light pierced the rain, and an angel descended. With powerful wings and gleaming golden armor, she swooped into the torrent, pulling the boy from the flood’s deadly grip and carrying him to the safety of a nearby roof.Drenched but safe, the boy caught his breath.
