Elderly Man Saves a Mama Hen and Chicks from a Snake Attack

It’s a dramatic scene that easily could have ended in tragedy, but thanks to the quick thinking of a compassionate passerby, a mother hen and her babies lived to see another day.

On a grassy verge alongside a busy country road, a life-or-death struggle was underway. A white mama hen was pinned to the ground, caught in the tight coils of a large snake. As cars and trucks sped by, completely oblivious to the wildlife drama, a group of tiny, helpless yellow chicks huddled close, watching their mother’s desperate situation.

Fortunately, an elderly gentleman driving a bright yellow Jeep noticed the distressed birds. Pulling over to the side of the road, he stepped out armed with a wooden walking stick. Approaching the animals calmly, he used the stick to gently but firmly prod the snake, forcing it to uncoil and slither away into the tall grass.

The rescue didn’t stop at simply chasing away the predator. The kindhearted man knelt down to comfort the shaken hen, carefully wrapping a white cloth around her to soothe her after the attack. After making sure she was calm and stable, he gently scooped her up into his arms, keeping her small chicks close by.

The harrowing ordeal concludes with a peaceful and happy ending. The final scene shows the man relaxing on the grass in a lush garden next to a chicken coop. He sits with a warm smile, watching as the rescued mama hen and her fluffy chicks happily share a large plate of seeds. It is a beautiful, feel-good reminder of the profound impact a simple act of kindness can have on animals in need.
